Registration Policies

On-line Payment (credit card):

A credit card is necessary for payment of course fees when registering on-line. When registering for individual courses, each course and/or participant requires a separate credit card transaction.  When registering for a Cluster (multiple courses linked together in a specified package), the credit card transaction is for that complete Cluster.

FAXED Payment (purchase order or credit card):

Purchase Order Payment: (U.S. only.  Non-U.S. purchase orders are not accepted.)

To ensure participants are enrolled in a course(s), OPS must receive a fully processed purchase order and the registration form for each student, by the registration deadline.

On-line registration is not an option for those registering by means of a purchase order at this time. Registrants using purchase orders are required to complete individual registration forms to accompany the purchase order. Only one purchase order is necessary for multiple registrations. Purchase orders with registration forms attached are to be faxed to OPS, Attn: Customer Service at 301-405-9960.

Check or money order:

Complete form, enclose payment in U.S. funds payable to University of Maryland, and submit to address above.

Cancellation and Deadline Policy:

  • Full refunds, less a $50 processing fee, will be issued for cancellation requests received 30 days or more before the course start date. Cancellation requests received after that time will be refunded at 50%. No refunds will be granted once the course has begun. Substitutions are accepted at any time. Please contact Customer Service at (301) 405-9960 or ops-custsvc@umd.edu in advance to notify us of any substitutions.
  • CANCELLATION OF PROGRAMS BY THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND Registration fees will be fully refunded in the event that a program is cancelled by the University of Maryland.
