Lodging and Meals InformationLodgingCore Certificate Program (June 11-22); We do not arrange lodging, but urge you to consider hotels in both downtown Washington, D.C. as well as the surrounding metropolitan area. This will allow you to balance convenience vs. lodging cost. The MetroRail subway system and the central location of the training facilities make many options feasible. There are many hotels within walking distance of the training facility. The Residence Inn by Marriott-Washington, D.C. - Vermont Avenue offers large rooms and can accommodate more than one person in each room! They offer a free breakfast buffet and afternoon hors d’oeuvres . Most rooms have a full kitchen! You must make your own reservations by phone (1-800-331-3131) or on the www.residenceinn.com/WASDC. Mention the JIFSAN program. Additional discounts may be available for government travelers – be sure to ask about government rates. Quantitative Track (June 25-29). If you stay in downtown Washington for the Core Certificate Program and choose to move closer to the University of Maryland training facility for the Quantitative Track courses, we will provide transportation on Saturday, June 23, between the Residence Inn by Marriott-Washington, D.C. and your new hotel in College Park, Maryland. There are some hotels near College Park that provide shuttle service or are within walking distance of the training facility. Check the links below. Confirm shuttle service before making a reservation.
